Conditionals exercise - Instructions

Instructions: There are two parts of this assignment. Both parts are on this website, and require internet connectivity to use.

The first part is not graded, and you will not need to turn any part of it in. In the first part, each page you look at will give you a conditional and a fact. You should act as if each is true, although in some cases they will not actually be true. In addition, there will a conclusion. For each of these, the question is: if both the conditional and the additional fact were true, would the conclusion have to be true?

If you think so, pick the answer YES. If not, pick NO.

These are not intended to be trick questions. Interpret what is said literally.

Immediately after picking your answer, you will be told if it is correct or incorrect, and why. If the answer is incorrect, you must answer the question again. If it is correct, you will go on to the next question. Please use this feedback as a chance to improve your understanding of conditionals.

After you have done a certain number of these, part 1 will end. Part 2 is a single page, with a bunch of problems on it. The problems are similar to the ones you did in part 1. You should print the page out, follow the directions and answer all the questions, and then turn it in next class.

The instructions will be at the top of each page, in light grey, in case you forget what you are supposed to do. If you need to stop this assignment, please bookmark the page you are on so that you can come back later.
